The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) presents an exciting way to learn about energy and waste topics - a mobile education trailer! The trailer, is an all-inclusive experience that includes informative displays, interactive kiosks, educational videos and more.
"Cause and Effect: Your Eco Story" takes the visitor through a home full of tips, facts and graphics detailing choices visitors can make inside to help protect and improve the environment outside.

The trailer is equipped with a welcome desk, touch screen computers with games and flat screen TVs and DVDs.

Beyond the Silence is a five peice band out of Waverly. Their music is a mesh of punk and alternative rock. The five members of the band include: Jake Carpenter on Bass/vocals, Chris Corson on Drums, Phil Corson on Guitar/vocals, Cody Benniga on Guitar, and Tom Ehlers on Lead Vocals. They are known to be a highly entertaining and fun live show. The band members are all good friends who love music and enjoy entertaining people.

Check out Bubblemania Day Camp! This fun filled bubble adventure will start at the 4-H Building at 9:00 am on Tuesday August 3rd. Please pre-register at the Extension Office (319-882-4275) or at the 4-H Building on Monday August 2nd. Build your own bubble blower, and actually go inside a giant bubble. Bubble crafts, snacks, experiments, and songs will help discover the fun and science of bubbles.

The Bremer Master Gardeners are hosting their usual fair educational display for folks to learn how to grow and enjoy their gardens and yards. They sponsored their first plant sale in May and do volunteer gardening projects throughout the county, plus maintain an educational garden at the Bremer Extension office in Tripoli. Starting September 14th they are sponsoring an eight session ISU Master Gardener course at Bremer Extension and encourage interested gardeners to attend.

Cori Jo and The Outlaw Junkies are one of today’s hottest regional country acts on the road! They have performed at fairs, festivals, concert venues nationwide and opened for many national acts including RCA recording artist ALABAMA. They were the 2002 regional finalist in the Colgate Country Showdown as well as the back up band for the competition previous years.
