New 2010 Fair Queen Announced!

READLYN, IOWA – The Bremer County Fair Association is proud to announce Jordan Skillen as the 2010 Bremer County Fair Queen. She was crowned Sunday at a grand banquet sponsored by the Bremer County Banker's Association, Sunrise Catering and The Center Inn, Readlyn. 

Jordan Skillen
Jordan is the daughter of Kelly Skillen and John Skillen from Waverly. Her sponsor is the Bremer County Cattlemen's Association. This fall she will be a freshman at Winona State University, majoring in Elementary Education. While at Waverly-Shell Rock High School, she was active in FFA, Choir, Track Team, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. In her community, Jordan has been active in 4-H helping with the Omelet breakfast and 4-H Day Camps, making breakfast for teachers, and is an Earth Day volunteer. She was also the 2009 Bremer County Beef Queen.

Jordan is pictured with a glass vase trophy and $250 scholarship generously sponsored by Channel Seed, Walter and Melissa Hinrichs.
