Ron Zelle
How long have you been with the fair board and why?
Nashua began offering Agriculture classes to the Plainfield School district in 1985. At that time, Nashua Plainfield members could then show in the Fair. At some point the Fair board appointed all Ag Ed instructors to the board and that is when I became a part.
How many years have you been helping with the Bremer County Fair and why?
Nashua Plainfield has been showing for 24 years and I mostly assist with the students. With 3 other county fair (Butler, Floyd, and Chickasaw) the Big 4 Fair and the Iowa State Fair I do not have very much time to devote to the Bremer County Fair and am very grateful that so many dedicated individuals continue to serve and make it a special fair every year.
What would you like to see in the near future for the betterment of the fair?
Keep working on the improvements to facilities and attractions that will bring a wide variety of customers to the fair.
What areas are you involved in the fair and what committees are you involved with the board?
Ag Ed instructor and Ethics Review Committee
